Survey: Teachers Say No To Carrying Guns In Classroom

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - With the on-going battle over gun control laws, one study says a majority of America's teachers don't want to be armed in a classroom.

The survey, completed by the "School Improvement Network" last month says it spoke with almost 1,100 teachers and 72 percent wouldn't carry a gun in school even if allowed.

But nearly 90 percent said they would feel safer with an armed police officer on campus.
