Del. Attorney General Backs Same-Sex Marriage

WILMINGTON, Del. - Along with 13 colleagues, Delaware attorney general Beau Biden filed a legal brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to declare a California ban on gay marriage unconstitutional.

Biden says he will file another Supreme Court brief on Friday, challenging the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage between a man and a woman.

Although Delaware has already approved same-sex civil unions, Biden and members of Equality Delaware say they hope Delaware lawmakers will approve same-sex marriage this legislative session.
