Investigators Face Challenges In UMES Murder

Posted: Updated:

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - It has been nearly two weeks since the murder of UMES student, Edmond St. Clair, and his alleged killer is still at large.

The 21-year-old was stabbed to death, on campus, homecoming weekend. WMDT touched base with Maryland State Police Thursday, to find out how the investigation is going. We're told investigators face a number of challenges in this case, since the murder happened during homecoming, when the campus was heavily populated with visitors. So they're hoping someone will come forward with a tip, or recognize something from the surveillance video.

"We really thought that the number of cars that drove through that area was important information to get out to the public, because you can at least see shapes and maybe make out the models of cars going through that time," said MSP Spokesman, Elena Russo.

If you have a tip, call Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776. A $7,000 reward is still available.
