SALISBURY, Md. - Isobel Mary Smith Parrish, 81, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Smith and Mary Helen Handley Smith. "Belle" was previously active at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Salisbury until her health declined. She enjoyed a peaceful life, just being at home, being a military wife, traveling abroad and her garden.
She is survived by 3 children, Gregory Alan Parrish of Berlin, Judy Smith of Rankin, TX and Eleanor Marie Chappelear and her husband, Douglas of St. Augustine, FL; 2 grandchildren, Angela and Eric; several step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, Konnor, Kasady and Jessica; and a sister, Anne Levett and her husband, Robert of Kettering, England. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Stan" Stanley Parrish in 1994 and a sister, Jean Milne.
A graveside service will be held in the chapel at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Howard Travers officiating.
