
SUSSEX CO., Del. - Officials are reminding Sussex County residents that the deadline to register your dog, is quickly approaching. Dog owners have until Friday, March 1st, to get their 2013 licenses for dogs that are 6 months or older.
Yearly licenses cost $10 for spayed and neutered dogs, or $15 for non-spayed or unneutered dogs. Fees are waived for seeing-eye, lead, or guide dogs, along with those who have served in the military. Dogs must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations in order to get a license.
Residents can pay for one, two, or three year licenses, which expire on December 31st of the given year. Owners with unlicensed dogs, face fines between $50 and $100.
