Pemberton Elementary Assisting Displaced Fire Victims

SALISBURY, Md. - A nearby Salisbury school wants to help the students and families displaced by a Sunday fire.

Pemberton Elementary, along with other local organizations are donating money and clothing to assist the families in need. School officials tell WMDT they are setting up a fund with Bank of Delmarva and will be collecting donations for the next 10 days.

"I think it's an event like this that shows the community that's how we truly do feel over here at Pemberton," said Pemberton Elementary principal Curtis Twilley. "I do believe the school does have some set of responsibilities in providing assistance to the families."

In interested in helping out the displaced families, donations can be made out to "Pemberton Manor Fire Fund" at the Bank of Delmarva Pecan Square location.
