SALISBURY, Md. - More details are being released on the fire that blazed through an apartment building Sunday, reportedly displacing six adults and a dozen children.

Police say the fire broke out in a 3 story, wood frame apartment complex at 1004 Fairground Drive in Salisbury. No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

Investigators say it took 40 firefighters 25 minutes to contain the fire that caused over $75000 in damages. The origin of the fire was reportedly a bedroom on the second floor of the building.

According to reports, the fire alarm was operating but there was no sprinkler system in the building.

An investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshall at 410-713-3780.
