SALISBURY, Md. - Lillian M. Nelson, age 105, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Wicomico Nursing Home. She was born September 24, 1907 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Charles and Jennie Reedquist. Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter in 1986; he was 86 and passed just before their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived most of their married life in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Nelson. 

Lillian lived in Sioux Falls until 1996, when she moved to Salisbury to be closer to her family. She loved to entertain, bake, play golf and play bridge. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls and then later a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Lillian was active with the United Methodist Women. She was involved in Newcomers when she moved to Salisbury. She is survived by her only son, Jack Nelson. Granddaughters, Jenny Hastings and her husband Eddie, Nancy Stephens and her husband Doug. Two great-granddaughters, Nicole Hastings and Amanda Bryan and her husband Will. She leaves behind her wonderful family at Wicomico Nursing Home. Lillian lived a long, happy and healthy life. 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804 where friends may call one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 112 High Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.   Local arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
