Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Harrington Motel

HARRINGTON, Del. - On February 22nd, the Harrington Police Department arrested two subjects after officers executed a search warrant at the Super 8 Motel in the 17000 Block of South DuPont Hwy. in Harrington.  The search warrant was a result of an undercover investigation into the sale of heroin at the Super 8 Motel.


During the execution of the search warrant officers took five subjects into custody, three of the subjects were later released without being charged and police arrested 32 year-old Tykwan James of Houston and 21 year-old Calvin Allen Jr. of Harrington.  During the search officers located 0.8 grams of Marijuana, 33 bags of Heroin and drug paraphernalia.  James and Allen were transported to the Harrington Police Department and charged with Maintaining a Drug Property, Conspiracy Second Degree, Possess or Consume a Controlled Substance with an Aggravating Factor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition to those Charges Tykwan James was also charged with Resisting Arrest. 

After being processed both were arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2.  Mr. Allen released on $6,200 unsecured bond and Mr. James was released on $7,200 unsecured bond.
