HURLOCK, Md. - A Dorchester County organization is giving back to those who give back.
The Ministers and Citizens for Change are currently hosting their 2nd annual Black List awards at North Dorchester Middle School, recognizing outstanding community members trying to make a change.
Organizers say the work is still not done.
"One of the things that we're very concerned about is the high rate of murder amongst African-American young men," said Rev. Charles Cephas. "We want to change that. We're tired of seeing so many mothers crying and the children dying."
Last year, the group honored 30 members of the community and this year, they awarded 40.
