WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. - A rocket at NASA Wallops passed a key engine test on Friday night.

NASA officials say that NASA's partner, Orbital Sciences of Dulles, Va., fired dual AJ26 rocket engines for 29 seconds as the Antares rocket was bolted on the new launch pad, Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) Pad-0A.

The test is a key milestone leading up to the first flight of the Antares rocket, which is scheduled for about four to six weeks from now.
