Salisbury Police Responds To Albero Crime Rates Comments

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Last night, mayoral candidate Joe Albero made some serious accusations against the Salisbury Police Department.

In his response to the city's crime rate reduction that Mayor Jim Ireton addressed in his State of the City speech, Albero said the crime rate numbers are skewed and accused police of failing to write down formal reports.

In response to those allegations, we received this statement from Chief Barbara Duncan.

"The statement being made by the candidate is certainly not the procedure by the Salisbury Police Department," said Duncan.

According to documented numbers by the Police department, crime rates have dropped.
