CRISFIELD, Md. - Crisfield Police are looking at ways to respond faster, because of recent tragedies like at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Since Feb. 1st, the Crisfield Police Department has made use of a Computer Aided Dispatch System, traditionally used to alert Fire and Rescue volunteers, which they say sends out mass text-like messages to first responders to alert them of crimes in the city.
Officials say that officers on-and-off duty are now notified of all incidents that affect safety and security of the public.
