MD Senate Committee Votes To Repeal Death Penalty

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A state Senate committee has passed a bill that would repeal the death penalty in Maryland.
    
The measure passed the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee in a 6-5 vote with amendments on Thursday.
    
The bill now moves to the full Senate floor, where it also expected to pass.
