Sexually Explicit Text Messages Send Sussex Tech Teacher To Jail

Posted: Updated:

GEORGETOWN, Del. - It's a repeat of events in Georgetown, after yet another Sussex Technical High School teacher is arrested Wednesday for a sex-related crime.

36-year-old Stanley Daniel Zakrociemski is charged with five counts of sexual solicitation of a minor. Investigators say he had been sending sexually explicit text messages to a 17-year-old student, which started in March of 2012 and ended Tuesday, when an employee made the discovery.

This is the third Sussex Tech employee arrested for sexual allegations in a little over a year. Police say this relationship, however, never got physical.

Sussex Tech High School released a statement:

"We are aware that Daniel Zakrociemski, a Sussex Tech staff member, was arrested on February 20, 2013. The arrest was the result of allegations which came to the attention of the District, and were immediately reported to the Delaware State Police.

Daniel Zakrociemski is suspended pending the completion of the investigation. State and federal law protect the privacy rights of District employees. Thus, the District is not in a position to release additional information.

Safety and climate are paramount at Sussex Technical School District. We take every reported and documented allegation seriously. Sussex Tech attempts to do everything in our power to protect our school community. Communication is key. Sussex Tech firmly believes in collaboration with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of our school community."

Zakrociemski is being held on bond.
