Ocean City Center Of Arts Prepare For Grand Opening

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - After more than 7 years of fundraising, The Art League of Ocean City is ready to open the doors to the brand new Ocean City Center for the Arts.

Just in time to celebrate it's 50th year, the new state-of-the-art 7,500 square foot facility on 94th Street kicks things off next week.

The new building has two exhibit areas, classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a pottery studio and studio spaces available for rent.

"This is definitely a community effort. We've been having people who have donated their time, their services, materials, their funds to make this come true. It's something that will benefit people year round," Executive Director of the Art League of Ocean City Rina Thaler said.

The ribbon cutting for the Center takes place next Friday at 4:30PM, followed by an opening reception. An open house is also scheduled the next day from 11 to 4.
