UPDATE: Body Found In Leipsic River Tony Mozick, Murdered Last Month

Posted: Updated:

LEIPSIC, Del. - Delaware State Police confirm that the body found Tuesday in the Leipsic River belongs to 45-year-old Tony Mozick.

The Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the cause of death to be homicide, by multiple stab wounds. In early January, Mozick's mother filed a missing persons report, telling authorities he hadn't shown up to be given his medication 3 days before. An investigation lead them to his daughter, Jennifer Barnes, and her boyfriend, Gerard Schweiger.

Schweiger allegedly got in an argument with Mozick and stabbed him several times with a small knife. The two then apparently Mozick's body in a plastic tote container and threw it into the river the next day. The couple was arrested January 15th.
