Seaford Attempted Robbery Suspect At Large

Posted: Updated:

SEAFORD, Del. - Police are looking for a suspect, who allegedly tried to rob a man at gun point in Sussex County.

Seaford Police say that they met with a victim at the hospital on Saturday night, who told them that he had been walking down Collins Avenue, when the suspect came up to him, holding a gun, and demanded money. The victim reportedly told Police that he grabbed for the gun, when he was hit in the hand.

The suspect then apparently fled on foot, and the victim went to the hospital. The victim's injury was minor, and not life threatening, so he was treated, and later released.

Police say the suspect is only described as a black man, wearing a hood.

The incident remains under investigation and officials are asking anyone with information to contact Seaford Police at 302-629-6644, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
