SALISBURY, Md. - Louise S. Bynaker Akers, 86, of Salisbury and formerly of Montgomery County, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Rockville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henley Bynaker and Lucille L. Calhoun Pickett.  She enjoyed assembling puzzles and playing bingo at the Village at Harbour Pointe with her many friends and the devoted staff. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Lee Akers; 4 children, Patricia Ann Johnson and her husband, Calvert of Nanjemoy, MD, Lee Grier and her husband, Todd of Salisbury, MD, Danny M. Bynaker and his wife, Lorraine of Chambersburg, PA and Rod E. Bynaker and his wife, Karla of Damascus, MD; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lucille Norton and 2 brothers, Claude "Buddy" R. Bynaker and Raymond E. Bynaker.


A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 12 noon at Parklawn Memorial Park and Menorah Gardens in Rockville, MD.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory to Christiana Presbyterian Church, 15 North Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702.
