SALISBURY, Md. - Friends of a teenager who nearly died from a car accident are trying to help pay her bills.
Organizers are hosting a silent auction right now at Parker's Place in downtown Salisbury. They're raising money for Michaela Morris, who broke her neck and arm in an accident nearly three weeks ago.
The owner of the shop says she may host another event soon if her friends still need more help.
"We may do a follow up, another fundraiser because they experienced a lot of expenses," said Anne Taylor, owner at Parker's Place. "Having to be up in Wilmington, staying up there, food, travel, etc. We're just trying to support our friends and his families."
