Fruitland Accident Closes Road, Injures Three

FRUITLAND, Md. - An accident in Fruitland closed roads for 20 minutes today, and sent three to the hospital.

Officials say two vehicles collided at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Shad Point road shortly after 4:30 this afternoon.

The injured were reportedly taken to PRMC, and there's no word yet on their injuries.

Riverside and Shad Point were shut down for about 20 minutes while departments from Fruitland, Salisbury and Allen cleared the accident.

The cause is still under investigation.
