"RV City" Developers Await Tuesday Meeting

Posted: Updated:

LEWES, Del. - Despite some backlash from Love Creek residents, Sussex County developers are still moving forward with their RV resort and campground plans.

Jack Lingo Asset Management says they are trying to address any concerns that locals may have. In addition to closing off an access point and relocating cabins, project officials say they are attempting to fix roadways before they begin construction.

"We are making a number of infrastructure improvements, namely the road improvement I mentioned earlier. In addition, we are bringing central sewer to this site," said Nick Hammonds, a principal at Jack Lingo Asset Management. "We've done everything to make this responsible and application that we're proud of and think we'll be a great success."

On Tuesday, the Sussex County Council will make a decision on approving the project. The residents around Love Creek looking to "Stop RV City" say they're bringing more than 100 concerned citizens to the meeting.
