Two Fires Reported In Accomack County

Posted: Updated:

ACCOMACK CO., Va. - Virginia State Police confirm crews responded to two structure fires in Accomack County Monday evening.

The fires broke out on Quinby Bridge Road and Rose Cottage Road in Melfa. Sgt. Michelle Anaya with Virginia State Police says neither fire has been confirmed arson and that the investigation is still underway.

There have been 46 suspected arsons set in Accomack County since mid-November, and police speculate a group of people may be to blame.

A reward for $5,000 is still available for any information leading to an arrest of the people or persons involved in the ongoing arson investigation.
