WMDT 47 NEWS - We are less than a month away from a looming sequester deadline.
The automatic, across-the-board spending cuts would total $1.2 trillion over 10 years. WMDT caught up with Rep. John Carney (D), who says that Congress must step up with a series of cuts and tax reforms that would generate additional revenue.
"Congress has shown that it needs the discipline of that kind of a deadline in order to act," said Carney. "We haven't shown the ability to do that and we must."
The deadline is set for March 1st.
