HARRINGTON, Del. - An anonymous tip leads a Harrington man to be arrested on burglary charges. Around 5:00 AM on Sunday morning, Harrington Police say they received a complaint about a suspicious person on Franklin Street.
The tipster reportedly told police that they saw someone looking into vehicles and garages with a flashlight, they then reportedly saw the suspect go into a garage on Hanley Street.
Police say they caught up 21-year-old Ryan Lefort, inside the Hanley garage as he was apparently trying to flee. Lefort was arrested, and charged with 3rd degree burglary, attempted theft under $1,500, and possession of burglar tools.
Police say inside the garage, their officers found a vehicle with doors open, and items that were taken out of cabinets, that appeared to be what Lefort was taking from the garage. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on $6,000 bond.
