SALISBURY, Md. - If you're planning to claim an education credit on your taxes you now have a Valentine's date.

February 14 is the first day the IRS will accept returns with Form 8863, the education credit form.

When the filing season kicked off on January 30, the IRS was still updating the system that processes those forms.

It will be up and running by Valentine's Day to accept the American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit.
