LAUREL, Del. - A Laurel sex offender is wanted by police, after apparently failing to verify his registration.

Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit is looking for 21-year-old Jerry Reed, after he didn't confirm his status as a sex offender, which he is required by law to do.

Reed, who is a high risk offender, is described as a black man, 6' 6" tall, weighting 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police believe that he could be in the Laurel area.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1, 302-741-8082, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
