Ocean City Woman Charged With First Degree Assault

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Ocean City Police tell WMDT they have arrested 47 year old Kathleen Machen for first and second degree assault, among other charges.

Police say early yesterday morning they responded to the 12-hundred block of Philadelphia Avenue in Ocean City in reference to an assault.

Investigators say they found a male victim -- bleeding from the head who accused Machen of attacking him with a metal can of beans as he slept. The victim was treated at the scene.

Machen is being held on 250-thousand dollars bond.
