SALISBURY, Md. - William Edward Rhoads, 82, of Mallard Landing, Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Jesse Day Rhoads and Helen Rothenberger Rhoads. He was a graduate of Jarrettsville High School, Western Maryland College and the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Physical Therapy. He was a physical therapist and along with two partners, owned and operated Burch, Rhoads and Loomis in Baltimore. He was a life member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Pickering Lodge AF & AM and Boumi Temple Shrine. He enjoyed fishing and boating.
He is survived by his loving wife, June Beck Rhoads; 2 children, Robert D. Rhoads in PA and Patricia J. Smith in MD; 2 brothers, David G. Rhoads, Col. USA Ret. of Kitty Hawk, NC and John Neely Rhoads of Yorktown, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 children, Rebecca Rhoads Blevins and Russell Stewart Rhoads.
