Assault On A Woman Lands One Salisbury Man Behind Bars

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife. According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, they responded to a call about an assault at a Delaware Avenue home.

They say that during the assault, 40-year-old Tracy Jones, punched the victim, held her down on the couch, and pulled her hair. The victim reportedly told police that she tried to get away from Jones for around a half an hour.

Jones is the victim's estranged husband. He was later arrested, charged with 2nd degree assault, along with false imprisonment, and is now being held at the Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
