Wilmington Police Officer Shot, Wounded

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say an officer has been shot and wounded in the city's Southbridge section.
 
The condition and identity of the officer wounded in the shooting Sunday afternoon were not immediately released. Police say the shooting occurred about 3:50 p.m. and the officer was taken to Christiana Hospital.
 
Alexandra Coppadge, a spokeswoman for Mayor Dennis Williams, said the mayor and Police Chief Christine Dunning were going to hospital.
