Del. Officials Offer Digital Learning Conferences

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware education officials are encouraging members of the public to join in learning about how technology is increasingly being incorporated into classrooms.

Delaware officials are celebrating national Digital Learning Day on Wednesday with four days of free online professional development conferences that are open to the public as well as teachers.

The online conferences, which begin Monday, are a collaboration between the state Department of Education's Delaware Center for Educational Technology and the Digital Learning Cadre.

Topics include Internet safety, personalized learning with the iPad, and media literacy in the 21st century.

The online conferences run about 45 minutes each and will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. each day through Thursday.
