SALISBURY, Md. - Teresa "Terry" Ward Landon, 64, of Manassas, VA, passed away January 30, 2013, at Prince William County Hospital in Manassas. She was born April 29, 1948, in Salisbury, MD, to Mack T. Ward and E. Pauline Ward and grew up in Stockton, MD. In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Ward, Bruce Ward and Bobby Ward.
Terry is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Landon, of the home, and by two sons and their families. Sons are Lawerence Robert "Rob" Landon, wife Christy, and son Joshua of Martinsville, VA, and Jon Mark Landon, wife Jessica and daughters Helen and Mary of Charlotte, NC. Terry is also survived by her sister, Rita Carol Denney, of Bridgeville, DE, and brother Michael Ward of Snow Hill, MD, as well as several nieces and nephews. Terry was a devoted Christian who demonstrated her strong beliefs every day by serving the Lord and others. She loved to travel with her husband, Ken, and managed to visit 49 of the 50 American states. She also truly enjoyed the three years she and Ken lived in Lymington, England. Terry served as a hospice volunteer for more than 18 years both in America and in England.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Haymarket, VA, with the Rev. David Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Portersville Cemetery in Stockton, MD.
