WICOMICO Co., Md. - If you're looking for things to do out in the community, but don't know where to look, head over the Wicomico Public Library.
They've launched an initiative with local organizations around the county to spotlight community awareness programs, designed to help you improve your life and make wise lifestyle choices.
The "Live Better at Your Library" campaign will feature a community calendar which will highlight events in the month of April. If it's a success, they're hoping to secure some funding to continue the program.
"People will be able to go online to one calendar and be able to see all of these wonderful resources and classes and programs and events that are going on - sort of a central community calendar for these type of events so that people can just have one stop," Director of the Wicomico Public Library Andrea Berstler said.
A printed calendar will also be available at the library. Some of the groups involved include Peninsula Regional Medical Center, University of Maryland Extension Office, Wicomico County Health Department, and PAC 14.
