Delmar Man Charged With Handgun In Vehicle

SALISBURY, Md. - Police arrest a Delmar man, after allegedly finding a loaded gun in his car.

A deputy with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 13. The Deputy says, during the stop, they noticed the handle of a revolver underneath a pile of newspapers, and the driver's hand close to it.

According to the report, the deputy seized the .38 revolver, and found that it was loaded. The driver, 63-year-old William Alvaro, was arrested and charged with handgun in vehicle, and concealed dangerous weapon. He is being held at the Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
