MARYLAND - The Maryland State Department of Education announced on Tuesday that they have received the federal funds to assist nonprofit organizations in providing free meals and snacks to kids this summer.
More than 376- thousand Maryland children are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals. The program is open to children and teens age 18 and under and to individuals over 18 who are mentally or physically disabled.
