Local Experts Work To Educate Public On Healthcare Reform

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Come 2014, major changes to the health care industry will take effect - ones that could affect you, your family and your business.

Which is why local experts stress the importance of being educated on what's to come. Some things to look out for are coverage for the uninsured, employer requirements, individual mandates, medicaid expansion and the excise tax.

"Some of the biggest changes are going to be on the employer level, where depending on whether or not they've got the 50 full time employees, whether or not their business is going to possibly set up their health care differently - differently than what their used to. They could possibly be using exchanges now to purchase some of their health care," Branch Manager of Manpower Chris Maas said.

If you're looking for specific answers on how health care reform will affect you, go to healthcare.gov.
