Dog Kennel Fire In Pittsville Kills Two Pets

PITTSVILLE, Md. - Officials are investigating a fire that left two family pets dead. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says on Tuesday morning, around 2:45 AM, the owner of a dog kennel, Friendship Road in Pittsville, discovered a fire in the 10' x 18' kennel.

Investigators are still looking into the cause, and where the fire started. The fire took the lives of two dogs. It took 35 firefighters around 5 minutes to control. Damages to the structure are estimated at $10,500.
