Posted: Updated:

SEAFORD, Del. - A fire has been reported at the Perdue Agrirecycle Plant in Seaford.  According to Blades Fire Department, a call came in at 6:52 p.m. for the fire, which reportedly started in the ventilation system five stories up.

At least six departments were at the scene, and it took nearly an hour and a half to get the flames under control.  Preliminary investigations shows the fire was likely the result of spontaneous combustion due to excess dust in the ventilation system.

No injuries have been reported.
