Lonestar Rodeo Arrives On Delmarva

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. -- Giddy Up all cowboys and girls, the old west has officially arrived on Delmarva! The Lone Star Rodeo's Bulls, Broncs and Barrels Tour is at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center this weekend, and WMDT beat the crowds to get a sneak peak.

Whether you want to see Saddle or Bareback riding, Cowgirls Barrel Racing, or the always entertaining Bull Riding, it's all here.

"Everybody's favorite is the bull riding, 140 pound cowboy vs. 2000 pound buck," announcer Matt McGee tells us.

New this year, is five year old Oralee Madison, the youngest performing trick rider. She was out bright and early Friday practicing everything from flips to twirls, all while on top of a horse!

"She's so talented and it's so fun, so it's awesome to see her be able to do that," Trick rider, Jessica Blaire tells us.

When asked, what her favorite part about trick riding is, Oralee had this to say:

"Doing the spin around the horn!"

Organizers want to stress that the show will go on regardless of the weather conditions. Doors open at 6pm Friday and Saturday, and the show kicks off at 7:30pm both nights. Tickets are 10 dollars and 22 for a VIP ticket. Also if you go in your best western wear, you get a special prize. Professionals are vying for 15-thousand dollars each night.

If you'd like to buy tickets you can do so at the box office or call 410-548-4911.
