NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say was breaking into a New Castle business.

A New Castle County police officer was called to the Dollar Store about 11 p.m. Wednesday. Troopers say the officer saw a man who had used a metal trash can lid to shatter the front window. The man was arrested.

Forty-five-year-old William O. Green of Chester, Pa., is charged with attempted burglary and other offenses. He is being held on $36,500 secured bail.
