New Public Canoe & Kayak Launch Site In Seaford May Be Underway

SEAFORD, Del. - It appears a new public canoe and kayak launch site may be underway. 


DNREC held a public meeting on Thursday to receive comments on a plan to demolish a structure to make way for the launch facility as well as a public parking area. 

The property was purchased on Woodland Church Road in August of 2012. It fronts the Nanticoke River and the Woodland Ferry. 

Written comments and proposals also may be submitted by Friday, Feb. 1 by mail to the Division of Fish and Wildlife, attention Rich Phifer, 89 Kings Highway, Dover, DE 19901, or by email to Rich Phifer at richard.phifer@state.de.us.
