DORCHESTER CO., Md. - A local elementary school held their 1st annual Martin Luther King essay contest. Choptank Elementary asked their students "He Had A Dream; Do You?"

The contest, that was organized by Mrs. Kawana Webb, a CES social worker, was open to all students. Once the essays were finished, they were handed over and judged by a group of local retired educators and administrators.

There were three winners; Zamiera Page - 3rd grade, A.J. Story - 4th grade, and Tamesha Johnson - 5th grade. The winners read their essays aloud at the Dorchester County NAACP Martin Luther King's Annual Breakfast on Monday.

Each winner also received a certificate for their participation, while all the students who submitted will enjoy a pizza party!
