Fire In Fruitland Blazes Through Single Family Home

FRUITLAND, Md. – The Maryland State Fire Marshall says a single alarm fire blazed through a single family home on School Street.

Reports say the fire on Sunday night caused upwards of $15,000 in damage. Officials say it was caused by common combustibles being too close to a free standing wood stove.

No injuries were reported and the Maryland State Fire Marshall says the fire has been deemed accidental.
