Body Found In Water In Chincoteague

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. - Chincoteauge Police Department confirms, a body was found in the waters of the Chincoteague Channel around 7:15 AM this morning.

It's not clear at this time if foul play is suspected. Officials told WMDT that the body has been taken to the Medical Examiners office in Norfolk, Virginia, for evaluation.

At this time, information about this incident is still limited, stay tuned to WMDT for the very latest.
