UPDATE: Ruptured Pipe At Milford Memorial Hospital Relocates Dozens

Posted: Updated:

MILFORD, Del. - A ruptured pipe at Milford Memorial hospital relocated dozens of patients Tuesday morning.

We're told it happened on the second floor of the hospital, on the unit known as 2 West around 4:30 AM.

There were no injuries or disruption to patients, but we are told that unit is currently closed and 22 patients were relocated. The Central Supply and Administration areas were also impacted.

Hospital officials say the bust was not weather-related, no major equipment was damaged, and normal operations are expected to resume soon.

In the mean time, if you are looking to visit a patient, officials ask that you check in before visiting so they can verify the patients room number.
