GEORGETOWN, DE - Sussex County brought in $20,000 by selling off some of it's equipment today.
The funds came in from a car auction, where the county sold 13 of their 15 cars and trucks, and all 8 generators.
Officials say they had no choice but to auction off the vehicles because the county could no longer support them.
"These vehicles all have mechanical problems and on top of that we don't need them even if they were fixed," said Hal Godwin, Sussex County Deputy Administrator. "
The last time Sussex County sold a surplus of vehicles was in March 2010, where officials say they made $40, 000.
