UPDATE: Nicola Pizza Co-Owner Disappears While Driving To Work

Posted: Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - New developments in the search for a missing Ocean View man, where time is now of the essence.

A well-known business owner in the Rehoboth Beach community disappears. Nick Caggiano, a husband and father of two was last seen leaving his Ocean View home early Saturday morning, for work at Nicola Pizza on Rehoboth Avenue in the beach town. However, police say he never made it in.

According to Delaware State Police, the family reported him missing on Tuesday, and that's when the investigation began. Still, nothing came up.

"It's strange that were just being made aware if it within the community itself that someone has been missing going on seven days now, " said Guy Peluso, employee at Juleez Gallery.

Peluso works across the street from Nicolas, and says Caggiano was a kind, hard working guy. Mark Blattel, who works two doors down, says he's known him for years and is stunned about his disappearance.

"Nick if you're out there buddy let someone know you're ok because we miss you and want to hear from you. If we can help let us know," said Blattel.

Troopers say he was seen driving a gray 2013 Toyota Tacoma with Delaware plates. If you know anything, call 302-856-5850.
