GEORGETOWN, Del. - DelDOT is set for the wintry weather. Officials say they have 450 trucks and 65,000 tons of salt ready to go.
But, with 500 people on hand to help remove snow, officials are asking drivers to help by staying out of the way, if at all possible.
"Stay home, stay off the roads," said DelDOT District Engineer Jeffery Reed. "It could change very quickly from a liquid precipitation to a solid wether it's ice or snow."
That change could also lead dangerous black ice. If you must head out, DelDOT urges you to drive slowly and with caution.
