US Workers Can Take Leave, Telework In Snow Threat

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON D.C.  - The threat of snow in the Washington area has prompted the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to give federal employees the option to take unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the region for Thursday. How much snow, if any, will fall is uncertain.

OPM said Wednesday evening that federal agencies will be open, but nonemergency employees can use unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
